A charming retreat in Cusco
Felt like stepping into history, the quaint ambiance was captivating. Our room was filled with character, and we savored the cocoa leaf tea offered to combat altitude sickness.
However, the HVAC system was loud during the nights, disrupting our sleep. Despite the charming décor, the bathroom layout was impractical, and we found it challenging to use without making a mess.

I absolutely loved my stay at Aranwa. The charm of the hotel captivated me the moment I arrived. The decor felt like an authentic museum experience with art and historical pieces everywhere. My room was spacious and had a cozy hot tub that was perfect after exploring. The heated bathroom floors were a surprising bonus, adding comfort to my time there. I also appreciated the attentive service from the staff. They were all friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast was fantastic, with fresh fruit and made-to-order omelettes. However, I did notice some noise from other rooms. Occasionally, footsteps would echo from above, disrupting my peace during the night. My only wish would be a bit more soundproofing to enhance the relaxing atmosphere. Despite that, I found the experience overall incredible because of the ambiance and wonderful service.

Why I’m torn on this
The hotel boasts a prime location near the main plaza, allowing easy access to restaurants and attractions. The staff's attentiveness was commendable, especially when they packed breakfast for our early Machu Picchu venture.
Despite the attentive service, the room I stayed in felt quite outdated and dim. The lack of modern amenities detracted from the overall experience, making it hard not to compare to more contemporary options.

Our two-night stay was lovely! The luxurious whirlpool bath was a highlight, and I adored the artifacts throughout the hotel. The breakfast was delectable, but a few more options would have been nice.

Had an amazing stay with friends! We enjoyed the deep bathtub and unique room setup. The small breakfast was decent, and the location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions like Sacsayhuamán and the Plaza de Armas. I recommend checking out the charming courtyard. Just a heads up, they could have a livelier bar atmosphere for evening hangouts.
The front desk ran out of change when we needed it in the morning, which was a bit inconvenient.

Our stay was unforgettable! The kids loved the beautiful courtyard filled with antiques, and the staff was incredibly attentive to every detail. The heated marble floors in the rooms were a delightful surprise, adding a touch of luxury to our family stay.
In my children’s opinion, a small game room would have been great.

The room was pretty spacious and comfortable with nice decor. The bathroom had a fancy massage shower, which was cool, but the setup made it hard to keep the water from splashing everywhere. It felt a bit dangerous with the slippery floor. Overall, it was a nice spot, but the shower could use some better planning.
